Discomfort and change

I usually experience seasons of discomfort prior to seasons of growth and forward movement.

I’ve come to the understanding that discomfort is actually a divine gift.

Time after time God has used discomfort to nudge me out of my comfort zone.

Although, I tend to fight change, I also know that change is inevitable.

In spite of the discomfort, I have also learned that God works all things together for the good of those that love Him and that are called according to His purpose.

Therefore I trust that the process of change is to refine me and not to harm me.

It is my prayer that you will face discomfort and change with boldness, trusting that God (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit) will guide you to where you need to be.

Bendiciones! 🙏🙌🔥

  1. Well said, John. I know that as I have gotten older, I have been less and less welcoming of change and the discomfort which comes with it. But, as you said, when it is from God, it is absolutely necessary and beneficial for the growth of His children.

    1. Growing pains are never fun. I remember sitting down during recess in elementary school, because a growth spurt was causing lots of pain. However, in retrospect, I’m super grateful for my height. The pain wasn’t easy, but it was part of the processes of becoming the person that God created me to be.
