Make hell regret…

I think this is self-explanatory. 🤷🏽‍♂️

  1. Hey John, I’m in.

You want to hear something off beat but interesting?

I noticed that you have a lightning bolt as a visual enhancer.

I used to draw lightening bolts in the margins of my bible to emphasize a verse that I was wild about.
Like you, it was my way of illuminating “Bam! Check that out!”

And then I was watching YouTube one day about the heavy metal anti Christ scene, and what did I see?
Marylin Manson blaspheming God, and a lightning bolt was his backdrop.
It was all about him identifying himself Satan, (Satan falling to earth like lightning).
And ever since then, I can’t bring myself to use lightning bolts to emphasize anything good.

I’m not implying anything towards you, I just thought you might find that to be an interesting perspective. 🙂

    1. Typical behavior of the enemy. He always tries to pervert the meaning, understanding, and purpose of God’s creation. Jeremiah 10:12-13 tells us that the Lord makes lighting, Zechariah 9:14 tells us that the Lord sends out arrows like lightning, and the books of Ezekiel, Exodus, and Revelation all talk about Lightning accompanying the presence of God. At the end of the day, things will represent the meaning that we give to them. Life is to much of a gift to spend our days defining things through the lense of the enemy.

In fact, you just reminded me of something that I appreciate remembering.

The lightning emitting from God’s throne.

      2. That’s the first thing that I thought when I read your post.
A little bit about my background. I grew up in a church culture that sometimes spiritually superstitious.
We weren’t allowed to have Christmas trees, because children were once sacrificed under trees, my mom had to get rid of her ceramic cow collection, because the pastor told her that they represent the golden calf made by the childen of Israel. Some preachers preached against Disney characters, others against Cabbage Patch Kids, Smurfs. and Hot Wheels. By the time I got to middle school, I had checked out on church and entered a bit of rebellion…. I’m so grateful to God that taught me of his grace in the midst of it all. I love, love, love who He is and what He is all about.
        Blessings bro.
