A peek into my world

I haven’t done one of these in a while, so I thought it be good to let you all know a little bit more about me. If you got a minute, let us know who you are too (and leave a link to your blog in the comments).

Name: John Eli (That’s my first name not my first and middle)

Nickname(s): Juan Tacos, Spider-Juan, Tio empanada

Current City: Chandler, AZ

Where did you grow up?: Derry, NM (literally on a chile pepper farm, in the middle of nowhere)

Where did you go to college: Undergrad – New Mexico State University, MBA – University of Phoenix, MSP – Grand Canyon University

What clubs did you participate in college: Marching Band, Percussion Ensemble, Marimba band, Gospel choir.

Favorite Music: My favorite kind of music is SAMA. I like sama this and sama that… Actually I’m quite eclectic, but my favorite is soul music.

Favorite food: Without a doubt, tacos and empanadas.

What do you do?: I’m a transformational life coach, blogger and graduate student. I will be graduating with my Master of Science in I/O Psychology this summer.

Why do you do what you do?: I know what it’s like to be stuck in life. I also know what it’s like to have somebody help me get unstuck. I’m forever indebted to God for sending me a group of amazing people that helped me find my way back home. In a sense, I do this out of a place of gratitude.

What project(s) are you currently tackling: I’m currently working on re-branding my blog and coaching practice. I’m also currently working on an e-book and some online courses. I’m aiming to have new material out by the end of 2019.

If you didn’t have your current job what would you be doing?: I’d live in Rocky Point, Sonora, Mexico and help my friend Cesar with the church that he pastors.

  1. That is so funny John. One of the best places we ever lived when we were in the military was a place called Rocky Point. It was beautiful. Right on the ocean and quiet. Lots of whales and seals and otters. We always say we wish we could go back and live…God Bless and congrats with finishing your MSc!
