Freedom from the pain of judgment

The good book tells us to stay away from every kind of evil (1 These 5:22). Knowing this, it is important for us to recognize that evil also comes in the form of accusations, judgment, and unforgiveness.
Your past may include a multitude of poor decisions and mishaps made on your part. Nevertheless, those were events, and they don’t have to be a prison sentence.
To be liberated from the pain of yesterday you must make a conscious choice to forgive yourself and break free of the bondage of shame. As you walk in your new found freedom, you will need to clearly define and choose who you will be from this day moving forward. If others choose to be imprisoned by your past, let them. As for you… Feel free to let go and be all that God created you to be.

Unapologetically yours,

John Eli

  1. I could dwell on past failures, but God doesn’t require that condemnation. Great post.

Philippians 3:14 – I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

  2. What God says about our sins if we come to him in repentance and faith in Psalms 103 “as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us” so if he doesn’t remember our sins against us or condemn us when we come to Jesus, letting our shame over the past hinder us is not from God. 🙂

  3. Hurt people hurt people. People in anguish like company of the same kind.

Having the discernment on how to help others without giving them the keys to your heart requires God’s wisdom.

I have experienced the harsh judgement of another, unfounded I add, but nonetheless, it hurt for a long time. I read the book ‘Total Forgiveness’ my R. T. Kindall, I learned to forgive him and it freed the hold he had on me.

    Great post!

    1. Thank you for your thoughts and insight. Also, thanks for the book recommendation. I’m always looking for a good read.
May Father, Son, and Spirit fill us with the ability to forgive and rise above any transgression against us. Blessings. 🙂
