Love is still there

I ran across this quote earlier this week. I don’t know who originally penned it. However, I know that it is the absolute truth. For most of my life, I lived with an erroneous assumption that true love doesn’t ever cause pain…. Then the day came when I was the one who caused the pain… and love still met me where I was at. Love looked beyond my faults and said, “I still choose you.”
I see love so differently now. I recognize that love is not perfection. Rather it is unconditional acceptance on your darkest day.

  1. What timing, after just having an blow up with my husband last night, where neither of us were on our best behavior, but this morning we hugged and forgave each other. Sometimes, it sucks not being like Jesus, right this very minute, and that it is a process!
