What are you committed to?

The first step to finding a solution is to identify the problem….. But it’s foolish to park yourself by the problem without the intention of ever solving it. 🛠️💣
Imagine that you went to the doctor with an injured arm and the doctor proceeds to tell you that it is broken. Along with the bad news, he begins to tell you how painful the healing process will be. To make matters worse, he starts listing all the things that you will miss out as you heal. 🕦 30 minutes into his lecture he starts to search for someone to blame your injury on. You painfulness watch the clock as the hours pass by. You sit in agony wishing that he would at least offer to place your arm in a sling or in a cast. Instead, he bursts into tears and tells you that he can’t handle the pain anymore and escorts you out the door. 👨‍⚕️🏥😕⁉️
What an outlandish situation. Don’t you agree? 🤦🏽‍♂️🤕
Nevertheless, that’s exactly what we do to ourselves when we mull over our problems and neglect to so the work to bring ourselves healing. The greatest gift for your healing is you. God has given you everything that you need to rise up and step towards your comeback. It’s up to you whether you will do the work, or stay stuck in your circumstance. 👷‍♂️💼🔨🚧

      1. I have watched such battles over and over. I am walking with a long time friend through one such now. He is so tied to his pain he doesn’t believe he can exist without it and so every time he wins a victory he just creates another scenario where the pain comes out afresh
