Life update (Graduation)

This past week I had the privilege of attending the Grand Canyon University commencement for my completion of my Master of Science in Psychology. This is what I penned that day……..

I remember feeling defeated when I opened my financial aid award letter. There simply wasn’t enough money available to cover my tuition for school that year. At the age of 18, I had no other choice, but to put off my education for an additional year. Nevertheless, what was meant to be a year turned into several. At one point I was almost certain that I would never accomplish what I had set out to do.

Fast forward to 10/17/2019, today, I am celebrating the completion of Master of Science in Psychology…. and no, I didn’t finish it in the time frame that I originally desired. Nevertheless, life took me on a journey that provided the perfect life experience that I needed to accompany my education.
Perhaps you too are facing a delay in the arrival of your dream. If so, I encourage you to remain faithful to keeping it alive. Meanwhile, embrace the journey and trust that the creator is taking you through a process to develop you into the person that He created you to be.

Unapologetically yours,

John Eli
