Hey Bro,
Here are some things you’ve got to come to terms with:
1. You’re human.
2. You will make mistakes.
3. Not everybody will understand you.
4. Not everyone will forgive you.
5. Rejection is an experience, not a life sentence.
6. You are capable of moving forward from this mess.
I believe in you.
… and I’m praying for you….

I currently live in the beautiful state of Arizona with my wife, two dogs, and an antique piano whom I call, “Betty.”

Great list, and so important to defeating things like resentment and shame. The one that has helped me a lot in recovery is that you are allowed to change your mind and evolve your opinion, even if others don’t think you’re capable.

Thanks for sharing your experience. When it comes down to it, we are all entitled to our own opinions, and we are not obligated to live enslaved to the opinions of others. Keep walking in freedom bro. 👊👊👊

Brother John, one of the biggest hurdles in my life has been people-pleasing. That has mellowed substantially with age – I simply don’t worry if people like me because I know as fact that not everybody is going to like me. I appreciate your posts, I like where you are coming from.

I used to be an approval addict too. Grateful for the grace that set me free and taught me how to continue my journey in freedom.
